About me

Hi I’m Jo.
I’ve been a full time dog walker since June 2011 and still LOVE MY JOB!

I opened Forest Moor Dog Walking with the aim of providing the kind of dog walking service I would want to use for my own dog.  A dog walking service that places the safety and welfare of the dogs above everything else.

Over the years I’ve established a small list of long standing, loyal clients who trust me to care for their dogs.  That trust clients place in me is something I never take lightly.  I know they’re trusting me with a member of their family.

Having been there myself many moons ago, I know how important it is to choose a dog walker who not only understands dog behaviour and handles the dogs in a kind, positive way but who is also committed and reliable.  Having that confidence to go about your day knowing your dog will be visited as arranged and having that peace of mind they will be in sensible hands that will keep them safe, happy and content is key.

My own dog is a Weimaraner called Belle. I rehomed Belle in 2015, having previously raised a dog from a puppy - another Weimaraner!  That’s the breed I grew up with (we had two boys) along with a Springer Spaniel and Irish Setter – I get my love of high energy dogs from my Mum!  Belle is quite frankly the centre of my universe.  Rehoming a dog isn’t without its challenges but its so rewarding and I feel lucky to have found her.

When I’m not working and looking after my team, I’m usually out exploring in the countryside with Belle and my husband Alex or else binge watching Netflix at our home in Knaresborough.

If you have any questions please get in touch, I’m always happy to have a chat…
